GFA Must Act Fast In Convincing Nico Williams On Potential Switch

Liverpool and Manchester United are after Athletic Club's Nico Williams - Football España

The Ghana Football Association has done well in the past months to convince international stars who had ties to Ghana to switch nationalities to play for Ghana.

Tariq Lamptey and Inaki Williams are some of the internationally recognized stars who will be able to wear the national colours after confirming they were ready to play for the Black Stars.

One star who is yet to switch his nationality is the brother of Inaki Williams, Nico Williams. The player is eligible to play for either Ghana or Spain as he has Ghanaian parents but was born in Spain. His qualities as an attacking player will boost the competition in the national squad and even help the team in tournaments.

Nico Williams featured in a game over the weekend and even scored his first league goal of his career to help Athletic Bilbao win against Elche.

The Ghana Football Association must therefore act very fast to secure the future of the player who might be tempted to play for Spain when given the chance.
