Head coach of Great Olympics, Yaw Preko says his side can do better after their slim opening day win over Bechem United on Saturday.
The two time Ghana Premier League champions shocked the visitors at the Accra Sports Stadium courtesy substitute, Samuel Ashie-Quaye’s 81st minute tap-in.
Preko, who succeeded Annor Walker as head coach, believes his charges can put up a better performance in the subsequent 2022/23 BetPawa Premier League games.
“The performance I think we can do better, we played against a very good side, we know they can hold the ball, they can keep the ball so we were waiting hit them on the counter.
“First half the midfield didn’t click the way I was expecting but in all getting the three points, I knew it was going to be a little bit of difficult.
“But you have to grind to get the victory especially first game of the season so it’s work in progress.” Yaw Preko told StarTimes.
Great Olympics will have a tough week two game against regional rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.
