Hearts of Oak Legend Leads Great Olympics to First Win

The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League got off to a brilliant start on Saturday with Accra Great Olympics opening their campaign against Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Dade Boys went into the game against the Hunters from the backdrop of their GHALCA Top Six victory last month.

Great Olympics had lost their head coach, Annor Walker to newly promoted Ghana Premier League club, Samartex but the void was filled by ex-Ghana international and Hearts of Oak legend, Yaw Preko.

Preko who previously served as assistant at Olympics was made a substantive coach and he has led the club to their first victory of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League game.

Forward, Samuel Abbey-Ashie Quaye became the first player to score in the 2022-2023 betPawa Premier League for Great Olympics.

He achieved the great feat after scoring in the 82nd minute for Accra Great Olympics against Bechem United at the Accra sports stadium with the game ending 1-0 for the two time Ghana Premier League winners.
