John Mahama showed his leadership skills by supporting Asiedu Nketia’s press release on SIM registration punitive actions. In the release by the General Secretary, “parliament should intervene to ensure the punitive exercises to be halted”.
The statement released by Asiedu Nketia disagreed with the Minister of Communications, Madam Ursula Owusu on her approach to ensuring that non-registered SIM card users face restrictions.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia described the sanctions implemented by the three major telcos as lawless. He also supported legal actions by citizens towards removing the restrictions.
