A 35 years old woman shares her heartbreaking story about how her daughter died after she sent her to a prophetess church for help. According to the woman, her 16 years old daughter went to stay with her sister when she was very young. Two months ago, her sister called to informed her that, her daughter was seriously sick.
She then traveled back to her hometown to care of the child but when she got there she was not able to recognize her child. The young girl’s face, hands, and feet were all swollen, she was very sad to see her child in that condition. The mother said they rushed her to the hospital for treatment, after a thorough examination, the doctors told her that she has malaria, her daughter was given medication and she was discharged from the hospital a few days later.
The woman again said the young girl’s condition became worse the following morning. She sent her to a prophetess church to help her child to recover. The mother states that they spent some days at the prayer Camp before they came back home. An unknown man revealed to them that her daughter’s friend has invoked a curse on her. That man requested a few items and used them to perform rituals for her daughter.
The woman added that they were all hoping that her daughter will recover soon but she again fell sick after a few days, she then sent her to the prophetess church. Although the prophetess tried her best to pray for her daughter to recover but her condition worsened as the days passed. She even told the prophetess to allow them to go back to the hospital but she convinced her that the child will recover from the sickness within a few days.
The woman claims that she trusted the prophetess and continued to stay at the prayer camp instead of seeking medical treatment for her child. Three days later, her daughter became weak and was not able to do anything, she then decided to send her to seek medical care despite the advice her prophetess gave her. Her daughter was transferred to Goaso hospital for further treatment but she couldn’t to go that hospital due to financial problems. The woman said she sent her daughter back home, unfortunately the child died whilst she was bathing her the following morning.
Whilst she was mourning, another person revealed to them that it was her daughter’s friend who cursed her so they have to perform a rituals before they will bury her. That person sent them to a fetish priest who requested GH2,000 and some items before he will perform the rituals. The fetish priest warned her that another person will also die if they don’t perform the rituals and also continue to cry. She too was not having such amount of money to pay for the rituals. The woman is now pleading for help to revoke the curse to prevent further problems.
