The National communications officer for the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi has once again sent some messages to the governing New Patriotic Party.
During a discussion about Aisha Huang’s case on Woezor TV this morning, Sammy Gyamfi made it clear that galamsey is now a free for all activity for the NPP. He added that the NPP administration seems to be in support of illegal mining activities in the country because they benefit greatly from it.
He explained and revealed that the NPP has failed to arrest and prosecute various top officials who have been caught in the act of illegal mining. He added that Aisha Huang was somehow expected to come back into the country because of how she was deported from the country. According to Sammy Gyamfi, he is very surprised to see people surprised on the return of Aisha Huang into the country.
He served strong notice to the government and urged them to do the needful because most people in the Ashanti and Western regions can’t find portable water to drink. He added that some children are developing all kinds of river diseases because of the nature of the water bodies.
“Today, galamsey has become a free for all activity for NPP officials. What they call community mining is actually NPP mining. There are more Chinese and other foreign nationals doing so called community mining than Ghanaians. They are doing the galamsey everywhere church lands and schools lands because nobody cares.”
“There was no fight against galamsey. It was all a scam. And it rules to take over that industry for NPP people and that is what they have succeeded in doing in the last five years. It is time to hold them accountable and let them pay for that on 7th December, 2024” he said.
