Kotoku Royals given heroes welcome at Oda as they prepare for league opener on Sunday

Newly promoted Ghana top-flight side Kotoku Royals were given a heroes welcome upon their return to Oda on Friday after their pre-season tour.

The Royals, were met on arrival by a massive crowd who welcomed them home as they await to play their opening league game of the new season.

Kotoku Royals will open their account in the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League with a home game against Accra Lions on Sunday.

The game will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium, which will serve as temporary home of Kotoku Royals as the Oda Sports Stadium is being prepared to host their home games.

The entire Oda township are behind Kotoku Royals on their debut campaign in the Ghanaian top-flight, and they are hoping of a successful campaign next season.

The club will hope to fulfill this promise starting with this Sunday’s season opener against Accra Lions in Cape Coast.

They have been well received back home after their pre-season rituals, and Coach Seth Ablade and his charges, will look to begin the campaign on a high with a win on their Ghanaian top-flight debut on Sunday.
