GPL Predictions: Kotoko To Slump As Hearts Are Crowned Champions

The Ghana Premier League starts tomorrow with an opening game between Accra Great Olympics and Bechem United.

Defending champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will have their first game match postponed due to their CAF Champions League match that has been rescheduled for Monday, 13th September.

This season’s Ghana Premier League is going to be a challenging one as the league has earned a good sponsorship deal that would see the clubs earn a lot more money from matches and even the prize money at stake.

According to the Ghana Football Association, the winner of the league will rack up to a sum of 300,000 Ghana cedis with 200,000 and 80,000 Ghana Cedis going to the second and third placed teams respectively.

With the form produced by Kumasi Asante Kotoko during their pre-season as well as the change of coach and squad, statistics have revealed that the Champions will not be able to defend their trophy this season.

Accra Hearts of Oak on the other side, look like real title contenders after the additions they made during the transfer window. The Accra based club have statistics on their side and if all things go in their favour, they might be crowned champions at the end of the season.

Bechem United are tipped to continue their FA Cup form this season and pose a real threat to being champions. Another team to watch out for is the Accra Great Olympics.

According to statistics, Hearts of Oak will be crowned Champions with Bechem and Kotoko occupying the 2nd and 3rd positions on the league table.
