Ghana’s Former President Mahama Sends Message To The World On The Passing Of Queen Elizabeth II

On Thursday 8th September 2022, the news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II was widely circulated across the length and breadth of the world.

The British Monarch superintends over the Commonwealth of Nations. Diplomacy requires that countries show care to other countries as no country can live in isolation from another.

It is not surprising that past and present presidents of the commonwealth of nations are expected to send their messages of sympathy to the UK.

A few moments after the death of Queen Elizabeth II was announced, former Ghana’s President sent a message to the world on the passing of the late Queen.

He expressed sadness at hearing the news and described the late queen as having carried out her duties with dignity, grace and poise. The former president also hailed the late queen to be an icon of pride not only to the British people but to the commonwealth.

He ended his message with a resounding prayer as he also sent greetings to the new British monarch; “May God grant her peaceful repose”.
