News coming in indicates that three persons have lost their lives in an accident involving a bus of the University of Education, Winneba.
According to report by TV3 Ghana, the bus veered off the road, running into a valley at Apirede in the Okere District of the Eastern Region of Ghana. The bus had several students on board at the time. Following this accident, three persons have been reported dead. Some 28 other persons are currently receiving treatments at the Yilo Krobo District Hospital in the Eastern region.
Reports further reveal that the students were going on an excursion in the Volta region to see the Mountain Afadjato when this unfortunate incident happened to them in the Eastern region. This sad incident happened on Friday, 9th September, 2022.
It is however not clear as to whether the victims were students of UEW or they just hired the school bus for the excursion. Some of the persons are in good condition while others are in critical condition receiving treatment.
