Johnnie Hughes:My Campaign Is Yielding Results-I Give You Monday As Deadline To Do This

TV3’s Johnnie Hughes made some strong comments on Thursday, 8th of September 2022 on his editorial, Johnnie’s Bite.

According to the senior editor, his constant rant on ” Let the retirees go” is yielding results. The broadcast journalist revealed that many retirees are now handing over due to his incessant request for the retirees to hand over to the younger ones.

” If you are a retiree and you are still at post, please hand over to the younger officers and go home. Please go and take care of your grandchildren, instead of competing for top positions with the younger ones. My campaign is yielding results and I know it”.

See how the Regional Director Of Education, Mrs Martha Owusu Agyeman has honourably handed over to Mrs Justine Apawu. This is what I am asking for. I am still in my birthday mood and so my birthday is up to Monday for the remaining 42 retirees to hand over”.

“If by Monday, you do not hand over, I will post your pictures here. I am not for a post-retirement extension so please allow the youth to take over”

Is Johnnie Hughes treating the retirees fairly by giving them Monday as deadline for their handing over? Should the youth be given the chance to lead when it is their time?

Why are these retirees not complying with the compulsory retirement policy? Should it take some one like Johnnie to enforce the smooth handing over process?

Does the public sector have a proper succession plan? Do we groom our youth to have a bright future in leading this country? What must be done to prepare the younger generation for the task ahead?

Should TV3’s Johnnie Hughes be applauded forr his role in reminding the retirees to go home? What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussion?
