Upon greeting the Immigration boss, Johnnie expressed his dissatisfaction with the job done by the service. The state institution is tasked with ensuring that the country’s borders and all other entry points are safeguarded. In addition, information about citizens and foreigners is stored on a secured biometric national database.
To him, the agency has not performed well to his expectations and how Aisha Huang outwitted the state agency and entered the country has revealed the loopholes in the security of the country.
He stressed again that when the research conducted on corruption labeled the Ghana Immigration Service as the second most corrupt institution, they disagreed. How did Aisha Huang get into the country??
“A top official says when we prosecute her, it won’t change the fortunes of Ghana. But when you prosecute a Ghanaian who has committed an offense, will it change the fortunes of the country,” he quizzed.
