There are sixteen regions in Ghana. Each region is required to have a fair share of the roads, hospitals, electricity, good water and other amenities.
TV3 Ghana posted on its heavily followed social media, a glimpse of the Chereponi DCE. The District Chief Executive of Chereponi is Hajia Moda.
She is one of the 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the country and among the six MMDCEs in the Savannah Region.
The caption of the post indicated how Hajia Zuweira Moda and her team struggled to cross an intersection of the road washed away after a heavy downpour.
In the post, the DCE who was covered in white apparel was led by her guard as well as her staff to walk through a water body.
It is interesting to note how the road in Chereponi has not received the required attention. How could a heavy downpour wash away that aspect of the road?
What is the government doing about the plight of the Chereponi? When would the road get fixed to meet accepted standards?
Many Ghanaians have vehemently reacted to the issue as some concerned citizens have pleaded with the government to critically consider and resolve the road network in Chereponi and the surrounding communities.
