Asante Kotoko step up preparations in Accra ahead of CAF Champions League opener on Friday

Ghana champions Asante Kotoko are continuing with their preparations in Accra ahead of their African Champions League opener on Friday afternoon.

The Porcupines, will travel to the Ivory Coast to play Burkina Faso champions Rail Club de Kadiogo in a preliminary round first leg encounter.

The game will be played at the Stade de Yamoussoukro on Friday with kick off time set for 4:00pm local time.

After arriving from their pre-season tour of Sudan on Thursday, Asante Kotoko remained in the capital to train ahead of the game.

The record Ghana champions have been training at the St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School Park since, putting finishing touches to their rituals to be up for the task.

Asante Kotoko will travel by air to Abidjan on Wednesday and then, go by road to Yamoussoukro for the game.

The return fixture will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi next week Sunday.
