With the rate at which the country is faced with setbacks lately, it will be prudent for a citizen to gear towards putting measures in place to reassess and fix himself or herself.
We all saw what was recorded in the Auditor’s Report and how such volume of corruption is going to affect us in the near future, several people have stolen, permit my word, to waste and not to develop, how much of such monies have been used to build industries for Ghana to benefit from, I know if the money is in the Account it needs to be used, but then after getting your share like we put it, how much have you given back to society, have you trained people not to be a burden to society with all the wealth you’ve amassed.
The last time I had an engagement with a police officer and I told him, now the Ghana Statistical Service report shows police are most corrupt, that’s what they have, how has your corruption been of benefit to the next person around you. I know if you refuse that money they will be against you, it’s a culture but I have always informed myself that if I were a police, I will take the Money to avoid stigma and witch hunting, but I will donate it to the needy, that sachet water seller needs it, those girl in school need pads to wear, use that money to buy it, it will save some from teenage pregnancy, use some of those monies to train some Community members relevant tvet skills et al.
Another way to help the country without using your hard earned money is to avoid criticizing People because they don’t follow trends, don’t disrespect people because they don’t use an iPhone or wear latest clothes, don’t criticize People because they earn little income, because they don’t have a degree, because they are not on top ranks, etc, encourage them with nice words, tell them the Lord will do it, tell them what they have is good, don’t laugh or pass derogatory comments.
To add to that, Reduce childbirth, once you give birth to a moderate number of children you will save the country from Social vices and crime, too many children doesn’t make you a real parent or smart, You can only produce many children if you have more houses and companies those Children can inherit, it takes much to own many children. Too many children from impoverished parents won’t help the country.
Lastly, Do not insult People defending or Supporting the country on social media, People like footballers, musicians, politicians, actors, the best thing to do is if you see a post about them you don’t like, simply ignore it and give it less attention, that way they won’t repeat it, natural some people believe the easiest way to get attention is to misbehave on social media but once they don’t get that attention, comments and likes, they will stop. If you have an issue with a politician’s project or attitude likewise actors footballers or musicians, contact a Journalist close to them and pour out your concern through those journalists to them rather than resorting to negative comments on social media. Let’s praise publicly and criticize privately.Â
