Accra Hearts of Oak have so far engaged in low profile games to prepare them for the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season and the continental campaign.
The Phobians sold out a better performance last two seasons where they beat off competition from arch rivals, Asante Kotoko to claim the league title and the FA Cup.

Hearts of Oak defeated AshantiGold 8-7 by the penalty shootouts after the entire game plus extra time ended in a goalless draw against AshantiGold at the Accra Sports Stadium.
They however lost the league title to rivals, Asante Kotoko last season but managed to claim the MTN FA Cup after coming from a goal down to beat Bechem United 2-1 in the finals at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The Phobians thus have returned to the CAF Champions League and news from their camp indicate that they will engage Ivory Coast club, Bouake fc to prepare for the competition.
The Phobians will start their campaign from the second round after they were exempted from the first round of the qualifiers.
