Asante Kotoko Confirm September 9 As Date For Departure, Reveal Other Important Dates

Ghanaian representative in CAF Champions League Asante Kotoko will leave Ghana for Cote D’ivoire on September 7, 2022, for their CAF preliminary stage game against RC Kadiogo.

The defending champions before leaving Ghana will hold a training session in the nation’s capital on September 7.

It is after the training session that they will depart the shores of Ghana for Cote D’ivoire and honor their game on September 9, 2022 in Yamoussoukro. The first leg between RC Kadiogo and Asante Kotoko will take place at the Stade de Yamoussoukro.

Asante Kotoko have been preparing fervently for the new season as they recent held the second phase of their preseason in Sudan. Despite conceding twelve goals in Sudan after playing couple of friendly games, the club intends to beat RC Kadiogo in both legs and advance to the next stage of the competition.

RC Kadiogo of Burkina Faso are not able to play at home because of ongoing renovations at their facility. This has compelled them to opt for Stade de Yamoussoukro as the venue for their game against Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko.

The two sides are expected to give their best for the upcoming game as the venue will serve a neutral ground for both clubs.
