Maurice Ampaw is one of the vocal lawyers in the country. In fact, since he first appeared as a panelist on TV3’s 2012 election petition hearing, the lawyer has risen through the ranks and considered as one of the biggest lawyers in the country. Though Maurice Ampaw courts controversy most at times, this hasn’t deterred him from expressing his thoughts on ley issues affecting the country.
On Mmra Ne Abrabo Mu Nsem tonight, Sunday, August 28, 2022, Maurice Ampaw called for the sacking of legendary presenter Captain Smart. According to Maurice Ampaw, the presenter is doing more harm than good to the church. He cited a number of made by Captain Smart and concluded that Mr Smart doesn’t deserve to be a Pentecostal.
Maurice Ampaw noted that it was Captain Smart who dropped a letter purporting to come from the headquarters of the Pentecost church which called for more tithes and offering. The release of that letter received so many reviews and badmouth against the church as it requested for more money from church members. Maurice Ampaw mentioned that he blames Captain Smart from releasing the letter and also inciting Ghanaians against the church. He wondered if Captain Smart was for the church or against the church.
