Obi reacts as his supporters rally in Port Harcourt, Auchi, Makurdi, and Afikpo

Peter Gregory Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has expressed gratitude as his supporters take to the streets to rally for him.

According to reports, photos, and videos circulating on social media, the rallies took place in Afikpo, Port Harcourt, Auchi in Edo State, and Makurdi, the capital of Benue State. As photos from these rallies circulated on social media, they elicited a range of reactions.

Meanwhile, Peter Obi, who is currently out of the country, made a post on his official Twitter handle thanking his supporters and promising that their efforts would not be in vain.

Mr. Obi also stated that the right to non-violent gathering is protected by the constitution and is required to be respected by all. 

He penned;

“Today, we are watching Port Harcourt, Auchi, Makurdi, and Afikpo move #OBIdiently in the sun and rain.

The right to peaceful assembly is guaranteed by the constitution and must be respected by all.

Our efforts will never go unnoticed. I appreciate everyone.”
