TV3’s Johnny Hughes ‘Spits’ Bars – What You Stated Was A Typical ‘Lie’; Madam Threw Dust Into Our Eyes

According to TV3 Johnny Hughes, the government should learn to do things right. He expressed displeasure at how the government keeps promising and failing.

Johnny Hughes advised that the country’s situation would not improve if things are not done properly. Johnny queried why there are so many youths in the country but the retirees are always given contract extensions.

The TV3 broadcast journalist revealed that he has heard that ten contract extensions have been done after the government promised not to release financial clearance for post-retirement appointments.

He mentioned that there were more qualified young ones who are no longer motivated due to the contract extensions.

Johnny Hughes provided evidence of a letter signed by Honourable Abena Osei-Asare, a deputy minister for finance. Johnny revealed that, per her letter, the finance ministry sought to comply with the annual budget and would no longer provide extensions unless the skills were special ones.

According to Johnny, the letter failed to serve its purpose due to how many retirees have been given contract extensions.

In his editorial, Johnny Hughes explained the deputy minister lied to Ghanaians in that letter and that should not have been the case.

Johnny Hughes revealed that he is displeased with the letter from Honourable Asare for throwing dust into the eyes of Ghanaians for saying that only special skills were exceptions.

Johnny Hughes defended that, after the letter from the deputy minister, the boss of the Ghana Immigration Service who happens to be a lawyer, has been given a letter covering two years extension.

Johnny asked what was special about the top officer. ” He is a lawyer but there are other many qualified lawyers in the Ghana Immigration Service”.

What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussion? Was Johnny right for using such words on the deputy minister?
