We could say it is politics. Well, others could classify this as tolerance in religion. But is it really religious tolerance? Is Bawumiah going too far with what he even believes in now because of politics and the desire to be a president of this country in the next few months? Bawumiah has made a comment today that has gotten people very interested and intrigued.
Whiles attending the 59th annual session of the Ghana baptist church convention at Ejura in the Ashanti region today, he was handed over the microphone to speak and this is where these words came running boldly from his mouth.
Being a Muslim could mean a lot of things or believe a lot of Islamic beliefs whiles boycotting many others disputed by the various religions. But Bawumiah said no! In his speech, he stated that we all believe that Jesus is the son of God and that he will come an reign again in his kingdom.
This was an intriguing comment from him because of his religious beliefs. However, an interesting fact about this is that Bawumiah has used this same line before and was somehow overlooked. It could be that the Vice President is only being tolerant and not because of political influence of any sort. Let’s know what you think. Are Christians now a pawn in his political game?
