History has been made possible today by the Peace Dawa media foundation as they fly the oldest Imam in Kumasi Zongo, mallam Rashad for rare visit to the National chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubu after 30 years.
The Ghana National Chief Imam and Malam Rashad are said to be the only two people left in this world from their teacher, malam Awudu Dantano from Kumasi Alabar. They both attended the same Islamic school at Kumasi Zongo Alabar Kantudu over 70 years ago
The Ghana national Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubu sometimes visit malam Rashad in Kumasi but Malam Rashad has not been able to return the courtesy, he always wish to also visit chief Imam but to no avail.
Just last week Malam Rashad spoke with national Chief Imam on phone indicating his intentions to visit him. Today, by the grace of Allah, Peace Dawa media foundation is airlifting Malam Rashad from Kumasi to Accra for the visit.
According to the organisers of the journey, they will visit the chief imam’s palace, chief Imam’s new mosque, the Ghana national mosque, Musah Kramo Residence, Sarki Mufatu residence, Alhaji Rafiq Residence, Alhaji Dauda Sarki Adini, Alhaji Papa Angola and some other dignitaries.
