Martinez’s Performance Against Liverpool Shows That Height Isn’t A Problem For A PL Defender

At Old Trafford, Manchester United beat Liverpool 2-1 to get their first win of the season in the Premier League. Before their game against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, the Red Devils hadn’t won a Premier League game. However, they played very well against Klopp’s team.

Manchester United got on the board first when Jadon Sancho scored, and Marcus Rashford added a second goal with a nice finish. Then, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah scored a consolation goal, making the score 2-1. Manchester United won the game, though.

Lisandro Martinez, a defender for Manchester United, did a great job against Liverpool. The new player was one of the best on the field, and he didn’t make a single mistake all game.

Martinez defended well the whole game, and he and Raphael Varane worked well together.

Some people think that the short height of the former Ajax defender will make it hard for him to do well in the Premier League after he moved to Manchester United for €57 million.

But Lisandro Martinez is a great defender, and when they beat Liverpool 2-1, he passed the ball 81% of the time. Raphael Varane was good in the air, and Lisandro Martinez was a good defender who was only passed once during the game.
