King Kwasi Kyei Darkwah has been trending for the past one week. This came as a result of certain comments he made about certain government officials. He singled out Ken Ofori Atta, the Finance Minister and noted he was in a case of conflict of interest as he uses his Databank to acquire loans for the country, thereby making huge profit for himself.
Since the interview, KKD has been receiving raving reviews. Today, Monday, August 22, 2022, KKD joined Captain Smart on Onua Maakye. In a heated discussion, KKD spoke fiercely and threw a caution to government officials. According to him, most of the appointees of Akufo-Addo are corrupt. He explained that people will not see what the king is doing but what the courtiers of the king do represent the king and so Akufo-Addo deserves to be told the truth.
Interestingly, KKD mentioned that people like Sammy Awuku have also found themselves in the rot of corruption. KKD alleged that with the appointment of Sammy Awuku at the National Lottery Authority, he has observed that things aren’t well. The former brands manager explained that Sammy Awuku is his brother and he had the prospects of being a president but because of his alleged involvement in some corrupt practices at the NLA, he has lost some reputation.
“You have been given all the privileges to serve Ghanaians and yet you still steal from us. Despite all the promises you made, you have failed. We believed you and gave you power, but see what is happening? There is corruption all over you. See my brother. Sammy Awuku, he was supposed to be president but because you put him at the Lottery section he is also now getting compromised” KKD said.
Though these allegations cannot be confirmed, many have said that Sammy Awuku is one of the biggest brains of the NPP. Some say Sammy has performed well since he went to the NLA. Sammy Gyamfi in a recent interview also noted that he has been observing Sammy Awuku and hasn’t seen anything wrong. It is thus surprising that KKD made such a revelation. Maybe time will tell.
