Johnny Hughes Quizzes; Why Are We Doing This To Ourselves; You Asked Me To Do It And I Have Done So

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo can be remembered for telling Ghanaians to be citizens and not spectators.

TV3 journalist has contributed his quota to discussions in respect of the governance of the country. How did Johnny Hughes do this? Has he used the appropriate tactics to address the issues?

TV3’s Johnny Hughes remains one of the most popular journalists in Ghana. On Johnny Hughes’s show, he expressed worry about how the members of the council of State had announced a 20 per cent reduction in their allowances and yet one of their members is in the news for unpaid import duties to the turn of GHS1.074 million.

On Johnny’s Bite Show, the TV3 presenter did not mince words at all as he raised issues concerning how citizens like himself are treated after they express their sentiments about the governance of the State.

Johnny Hughes explained that some party people verbally attack him after he has raised important issues that require attention.

He also indicated that Nana Addo himself has said unfair things about those foot soldiers who asked him to reshuffle his team of ministers.

Johnny asked why the President said that the footsoldiers are either opposition members or jobless for asking for a reshuffle.

Johnny Hughes also indicated how unfairly KKD has been treated by some Ghanaians for sharing his opinion on conflict of interest surrounding transaction advisors for the country’s deals.

Johnny Hughes asked why the people of Ghana are doing this to us. He also asked why objective criticisms can no longer be welcomed.

In another vein, Johnny Hughes revealed that many Ghanaians have asked him to provide recommendations if he is always criticising the government.

He, therefore, provided some suggestions asking Nana Addo to reshuffle ministers. He further indicated that, he has done what they have been asking for and he expects them to also do the needful.
