Some market women at the Kejetia market devoted themselves to help Vice President Doctor Mahmoud Bawumia to arrest the dollar. They explained that, Bawumia should just send them to wherever he kept the inflation keys so that they can volunteer it’s rescue.
The market women made this known in an exclusive interview with Metro TV as attached to this article. The market women further explained that anytime they import things from neighbouring Cote Divoire, they run at a loss. This is because the exchange rate of the Ghana cedi is unpleasant.
” We’re tired of running at a loss. We need to go and rescue the cedi ourselves. To achieve that, Bawumia must first send us to where he kept the inflation keys so that we can arrest the dollar” One of the women told journalists.
Anyway, will Vice President Doctor Mahmoud Bawumia pay heed to this interesting request from the market women?
