What Hawa Koomson Said About The Methodist Church After Joining Akufo Addo For Conference

The minister of fisheries and aquaculture, Hawa Koomson joined the President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, today, for the official opening of the 12th Biennial and 50th Golden Conference of the Methodist Church Ghana at Winneba.

The ceremony is to commemorate the independence of the church from the British Methodist Church. 

In a statement, the minister, who is also a member of parliament said the Methodist Church Ghana has over the years contributed immensely to both spiritual growth and socio-economic growth of Ghana. 

She added that the, “more importantly, the church has been very instrumental in the provision of education and quality health care to Ghanaians”. 

As a devout Wesleyan, the member of parliament cum minister said she feels proud to associate herself with the successes chalked by the church since it’s independence and its contributions to the development of our country.
