Language Has Never Been A Barrier To My Success – Chief One speaks on rapping in Ewe

Budding rapper Chief One has echoed that performing in his local dialect does not limit his chances of breaking through as an artist.

In his words, music is a universal language, and singing in Ewe does not pose a barrier to his success.

“No, No. The music, itself, is a language, so I don’t think my language restricts me,” he told Giovani.

The 2022 3Music Next Rated Act gained recognition in 2021, but according to him, he has been singing for five years.

After having a taste of fame and what he stands to gain from his talent, Chief one has set his aim on becoming one of the biggest music exports in Ghana.

Currently, Chief One is promoting his new single and will make his debut Chalewote Street Festival performance on Saturday, alongside Highlife legends Gyedu Blay Ambuley and Amazeba.
