I Want To Start Going To Church Again But My Friends Are My Problem – Man Reveals His Setbacks

He declared his intention to worship with the Methodist Church, Ghana.

Should we call it an adverse effect of peer pressure or everything is dependent on time?

Osei Evans is a resident of Asiakwa in the Abuakwa south municipality in the eastern region and has showed his interest in going back to church after a long break.

According the the man in his early 30’s, the desire to worship God is there but the surrounding is making it impossible for him to attend church.

He made this revelation to the media around the Asiakwa Methodist church the very day they were dedicating the Emmanuel Methodist Church to God.

And these are his reasons for still staying at home;

1. He doesn’t get anyone to put pressure on him to go to church.

2. The kind of friends he is associated with do not permit him to go to church.

3. He went to the North and converted from Christianity to Islam (his mother was a Christian and father a Muslim but for now he doesn’t go to church nor Islam).

Osei Evans, having fully shown remorse and committed to going back to church was introduced by the media to the Methodist Church clergy. There, they prayed for him and put him in charge of someone who can remind him and take him to church always.

He was then advised to conscientize his mind as long as he has decided to go back to church and it will be easy and possible for him.

Osei Evans, gets his daily income from mining as the day he made the confession, he was on his way from the mining site.

How do we encourage Osei Evans and people like him who have the urge to repent and live for Christ?
