I Am Sorry But I Need To Tell You This – Kennedy Agyapong Tells Chiefs In Western Region

The next elections are in 2024 but the political bells are already ringing. Political flagbearers of Ghana’s two leading political parties are already showing their interests in contesting. This even started right after the 2020 elections and the tempo keeps rising

Already tensions are brewing between the camps of 2 leading candidates who seek to lead the ruling NPP. Vice President Bawumia will come against Trades minister, Alan Kyerematen in the primaries. One surprising but underrated candidate will be Kennedy Agyapong. Kennedy left everyone stunned when he declared his interest to stand. Though the Assin Central MP may not win, there are chances that he may be a kingmaker in the making.

Well Kennedy Agyapong hasn’t been left out of the unannounced campaigns. He has been organizing seminars and empowering the youth. Today, Friday, August 19, 2022 the much awaited Guidance Conference came off. It saw Kennedy Agyapong talk about the principles that have governed his life and made him a better person. He noted that attitude and change of mind is what Ghana needs to develop.

Interestingly, as Kennedy spoke he thanked the chiefs and people of the Western Region and especially Takoradi for coming to support him. He however made a passionate plea to the chiefs. In a modest way, Kennedy applauded them for having a clean environment but begged the chiefs to install streetlights in town and also around the beaches.

Kennedy used his experiences in abroad as an example and said the beaches in America had lights and this made it possible for people to have quiet and memorable times with their loved ones. Kennedy admonished them that Takoradi had clean beaches and deserve to have lights to encourage people to visit them at night.

Kennedy also charged the people to be disciplined as this will combine with hard work to make them successful. For now, Kennedy is subtly making a point with his seminars like Bawumia did prior to the 2016 elections. But will these unconscious campaigns be enough for him to lead his party?
