Some Ghanaian nurses have been recorded on camera throwing the NPP flags given to them at the Presidential convoys, and many social media users after coming across this video couldn’t keep mute over it. The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and his entourage traveled to one of the nursing colleges in the country, and they were embarrassed by the nursing students at the place.
If you watch the video carefully, you can see that these nurses were given the NPP flags to wave to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his entourage. But instead of waving, they were rather seen throwing the flags at the convoys. Some of the nurses were overhead in the video saying this in the typical Twi language, “Take your flags and leave us alone. What at all have done to you people”.
After seeing the convoy that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was sitting in, they started shouting and hooting at them. This continued till all the convoys passed them. The reactions show that they are very disappointed in President Akufo-Addo and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration for deceiving them. This is because most of these student nurses have not received their allowances for months now.
However, this is the same NPP government that promised them that they will pay their allowances so that they can use the money to take care of their basic needs in school. But it appears after voting for the NPP and President Akufo-Addo in the 2020 elections, they have forgotten them. Some Ghanaians after coming across this video said that these nurses deceive this. They were the same people who were shouting ‘4 More 4 Nana’ before the 2020 election.
