Exposing And Dropping The Truth: A High Ranking NPP Member Finally ‘Spit’ It All Out

In Ghana; there is currently a growing tension, withing the two main Ghanaian political parties (the New Patriotic Party-NPP, and National Democratic Congress-NDC), as election 2024 draws closer and faster.

The biggest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC), is determined to return to power, come January 2025, after losing the elections in 2016; but the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), is also determined to retain power.

According to information, the NPP will soon be going to their primaries, to elect a new flag-bearer; who will be leading the party against the NDC, come election 2024; but a high racking member of the party has this very important message for the party.

Expressing his views on the current happenings in the party and in Ghana, a leading member of the NPP, Dr Charles Wereko-Brobby has exposed the NPP; saying that the party must forget about the breaking the 8-year-electoral cycle as planned; and focus on addressing the economic challenges facing Ghanaians.

He explained that, ““If you have been given the chance to govern and you fail, don’t expect to continue to govern This goes to every party. Democracy is not just about elections”.

Dr. Wereko-Brobby; who was also a the former Chief Executive Officer of the Volta River Authority (VRA), under the former president John Kufuor’s administration, again stated that, “the fundamentals have all gone wrong, why will you waste time thinking about breaking the 8? You have failed to achieve your task, and your failure is enough to jettison you from office”.

The former VRA’s CEO said this, following an earlier comments by president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and some leading members of the party, that the party the NPP), was determined to break the 8, in the upcoming general elections in 2024.

These are comments by Dr Charles Wereko-Brobby, a founding member of the NPP; and if high ranking members of the party are spiting out the truth this way; and if the Nana Addo Bawumia government has finally turned the nation into a state of confusion (worst in Ghana’s history), then how can the the NPP even think of wining elections in Ghana again?
