I Will Release The Tape If You Dare Me – Johnnie Hughes Sends Message To The Agric Minister

Popular media personality and presenter at TV3, Johnnie Hughes has hit hard on the NPP government again, particularly the minister of Food and Agriculture, Honorable Afriyie Akoto.

Speaking on Johnnie’s Bite show this morning, Johnnie Hughes made it clear that he has a tape to show Ghanaians what the minister of Agriculture said about the one village one dam initiative. Johnnie Hughes made it clear that the minister said in the tape that the one village one dam initiative was just a slogan.

Aside this, he revealed that the minister said the initiative is not under his ministry but it is rather under the ministry of Mavis Hawa Koomson. With this point, Johnnie Hughes proved the minister wrong because when a dam is constructed, farmers are those who will benefit from it. This therefore places this initiative under the Agric Ministry. Johnnie Hughes promised to release the tape if he is been dared to do so.

“Your Unemployment rate has increased from 7% to 14%. I will create jobs; that is what you said. The other day when I asked the minister of Agric about the one village one dam, he said it is just a slogan and that it is not fair for me to ask him but I should go and ask Hawa Koomson. That is what you said. This is your ministry. He said it is just a slogan. The tape is there. If you dare me, I will play it. I have tapes” he said.

The one village one dam initiative is one of the key campaign messages this NPP administration, led by President Akufo Addo promised to Ghanaians. The initiative was purposed to help farmers in the Northern parts of the country in their farming activities. Some of these dams were constructed below expectations as the amount of water in it got dried up in few weeks after construction.
