Deputy Finance Minister Gets Another Appointment; Sworn In Today

The deputy minister of finance and member of parliament for Ejisu constituency, Hon John Ampodua was today, sworn in as a member of the Board of Directors of the Twifo Oil Palm Plantation Company Limited by the Minister For Agriculture, Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Hon John Ampodua Kumah said their task as board members is to provide the necessary direction needed to ensure that the engages in sustainable agro production and processing, and to promote the President’s vision under Planting for Food and Jobs. 

Oil Palm has been selected as one of the six economic trees under the Trees Development Authority Programme, which is targeted to raise an additional $16 billion for the economy in the medium term. 

“Sustainable wealth creation through Agriculture is the way to go for a prosperous Ghana” the deputy minister added.
