Massive Reactions As Adwoa Sarfo Replies Her Sack Letter; This Woman Is Still In Parliament As MP?

Ghana has a strong governance system headed by the President and supported by his Vice President. There are three arms of government; the executive, legislature and Judiciary.

Even though, there is a separation of powers amongst the arms of government, the head of the executive arm is the leader of the country.

The Legislature is led by the Speaker of Parliament, who presides over the affairs of the members of Parliament. In Ghana, there are 275 constituencies and the MPs make laws for the country. Alban Bagbin is the Speaker of Parliament.

Interestingly, the Judiciary is headed by the Chief Justice and he presides over the affairs of the courts where the laws are interpreted. Chief Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah heads the judiciary.

A good leader must first show love to his subject before taking major decisions that would affect the subordinate. Leadership involves directing the affairs of subjects and may include taking tough decisions, in the interest of the greater good.

Readers can recall how Adwoa Sarfo has been out of jurisdiction for several months despite the call for her to execute her duties as MP and Gender Minister. In July 2022, Nana Addo finally relieved her of her post as the Gender Minister. Many Ghanaians have asked for her seat as MP to be declared vacant but this has not been done. Adwoa has finally replied to the letter of revocation and she thanked the President for his show Of love and support.

Many Ghanaians have vehemently reacted to the reply of Adwoa Sarfo as some citizens have complained about the fact that she still receives salaries for doing no work in her constituency. Many Ghanaians are not pleased with her conduct and are asking if she is still a member of parliament.
