Will Nana Akufo-Addo Support Mahama Against Bawumia? – Raymond Ablorh Quizzes

Journalist and former Communications Manager at Airtel Ghana, Raymond Ablorh has quizzed whether President Akufo-Addo Addo will support Mahama against Dr. Bawumia. His comments follows NPP’s assertion that it’s a good omen for them to break the 8 as Kenya’s Vice President, Ruto has won the recently held elections.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Monday, 15th August 2022, he wrote;

Already, some simple minded NPP members and supporters are jubilating over Kenya Vice President winning the presidential election and claiming that’s a good omen for Bawumia and them to break the 8.

And, these are people who claim others don’t like reading.They don’t know that in Ruto’s case Uhuru Kenyatta didn’t support him like Nana Akufo-Addo is supporting Bawumia. The President supported Odinga, which means, Nana Akufo-Addo must support John Mahama against Bawumia to make it similar. Raymond argued.

Raymond opined that, It’s about credibility, trustworthiness, practical competence and appeal beyond core party base.The people of Kenya didn’t trust the president but they trusted the Vice President against the President and his enemy turned friend, Odinga.

“In Ghana, the Vice President is known as an impractical economist and an opportunistic guy who didn’t mind betraying his own traditional leaders to go seek a father as an orphan in Ashanti Region because of how big they’re in determining who wins presidential elections.” He asserted.

According to Raymond, that constituency too has a candidate they have known for over two decades who is more credible and practically competent to deliver. How do you naively compare the two cases just because an incumbent party won elections?
