Veteran coach and ex-Ghana international, Abdul Karim Zito has made a bold statement about Hearts of Oak’s continental campaign.
The Phobians have qualified for the 2022/23 CAF Confederation Cup and are awaiting the winner between AS Douanes of Burkina Faso and ASR Bamako of Mali.
Hearts of Oak has a horrible campaign last two seasons – exiting the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup at the last playoff stage.
Karim Zito however believes the club’s previous experience will help the Phobians.
“Both the coach and some of the players have tasted it when they qualified it last year”, he noted.
“When we talk about experience. Experience is what you’ve done before and you are going back to do it”.
“It means they have to come back, sit and then look at the problems and cause of what they they did and they didn’t succeed. And then change, and do rectification here”.
“If it is the preparation, anytime you play the league and you qualify.
It means your level of the game has risen to a certain level. When you’re preparing for that game, it should be higher than what do here”.
