Ghanians Massively React As Kwame Mensah Swims To Teach Pupils In The Northern Region

It is an undeniable fact that many workers in Accra and other towns or cities use a taxi or ‘trotro’ as a means of transportation to their workplaces.

There is an adage that, not all fingers are the same. It is, however, not surprising that other people also use bicycles, motorcycles or tricycles as their means of transportation.

TV3 Ghana posted a video of a 36-year-old Kwame Mensah on its heavily followed Facebook page. The post has attracted massive reactions from the length and breadth of the country.

The post was about the story of Kwame Mensah, who swims across a water body to go to his school to teach the pupils. It is said that passion drives an individual to achieve results. It is not surprising that Kwame does everything possible to get to his place of work if his motorcycle develops a fault.

Many Ghanaians have reacted vehemently to the post as some citizens have applauded the young man for his love for his pupils and his work.

All his actions attest to how he loves the teaching profession and his English speaking abilities have been admired by most Ghanaians.

Does he not merit receive the best teacher award? What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussion?
