Ectopic Pregnancy: Signs That Tell Your Embryo Has Implants Outside The Womb

In an ectopic pregnancy, the embryo grows outside the uterus. Almost all ectopic pregnancies are spotted in one of the fallopian tubes and are in some cases known as tubal pregnancies. In some instances, the embryo could equally implant either in the abdomen, the ovary, the cervix, or within a previous cesarean scar.

According to BabyCenter, identifying the signs is not easy. You can feel like you are having period pains or cramping and may get slight bleeding. Symptoms can come on slowly or suddenly, or you may not feel any signs at all during the early stages. Nevertheless, symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy may include:

1. Signs of pregnancy, like a missed period or a late period, breast tenderness, fatigue, or nausea.

2. Strange bleeding from the private organ, different from your normal period. It can be lighter, brighter, darker red than usual, or watery. Some females describe it as looking like prune juice.

3. An upset stomach, like diarrhea or pain when you poo.

4. Pain in your lower abdomen or pelvis. This may come on slowly or suddenly and may be one-sided.

If you experience any of these symptoms, contact your doctor straight immediately.
