Asokore Mamponghene Cuts Sod For Ghc207,000 Dormitory Project For Garden City Special School.

The Chief of Asokore Mampong in the Asokore Mampong Municipal in the Ashanti Region, Nana Boakye Ansah Debrah, on Wednesday August 10 2022, cut sod for the construction of an ultra modern dormitory complex for the Garden City Special School which is sited in his land.

The two storey dormitory projects, according to the authoritiE’s of the school was initiated and would be fully funded by a Kumasi based Non Governmental Organization (NGO) Fnliven Mama Africa.

In his brief address after the sod cutting ceremony, the Gyasehene of Asokore Mampong, Nana Amoah Yeboah who represented Nana Debrah Asokore Mamponghene who has travelled outside the country thanked the Enliven Mama Africa for the gesture.

According to him his overlord chief Nana Boakye Ansah Debrah and his elders have been playing their roles to raise the standard of the school, he sees the gesture of the NGO as another major role to relief the school from some of its challenges.

The chief, like Oliver Twist asked for more, but took the opportunity to appeal to other NGOs, Churches and well meaning Ghanaians to emulate the shining example of Enliven Mama Africa by a way of extending support in either cash or in kind to support the school.

Explaining the rationale behind the gesture, the Chief Executive Officer of Enliven Mama Africa, Mr Maxwell Donko indicated that his outfit visited the school about three years ago where the Headmistress made a passionate request for dormitory project.

Mr Donko said through several communications with his principals in abroad the project was finally approved.

Mr Donko stated that the project which will cost his outfit Ghc 207,000 will be completed and handed over to the school within six months.

Most of the materials cement blocks are available the CEO told the gathering.

Mr Donko underscored that in educational issues, all children deserve equal opportunities no matter how one would see his or her health situation.

My outfit is ready to laise and support your school at all times to realize its agenda, Maxwell Donko assured.

In her brief address the Headmistress of the school, Dr.Roselyn Adjepong lauded the for its numerous support for the school.

She said the dormitory project is not the only first gesture the NGO is providing for the school.

Dr Adjepong mentioned among others, number of paintings, food planting initiatives and physical classroom teaching works as some of the assistance the NGO have since given to the school

Among those who witnessed the August occasion include the representatives of the Municipal education office, Parents And Teachers Association, School Board and religious organizations.
