President Akufo-Addo appoints Kofi Agyepong as CEO of the YEA.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed the Deputy Director of Communications at Jubilee House as the Youth Employment Agency’s acting CEO (YEA).

Mr. Kofi Agyepong’s appointment follows the resignation of former CEO Justin Frimpong Kodua, who is now the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

According to a letter from the presidency, Mr. Agyepong’s appointment will take effect on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

In the appointment letter, “The President has appointed you to act as the chief executive officer of the Agency, pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the Agency’s governing board, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission,” said Nana Bediatuo Asante, Secretary to the President.

A Profile of Kofi Agyepong

Kofi Agyepong, a well-known Ghanaian media personality, is a political communication consultant and an NPP stalwart.

Between 2000 and 2002, he attended Kumasi High School, where he earned his senior high school diploma.

He was accepted to Leicester University in the United Kingdom, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in media and public relations in 2019. Agyepong attended the Africa University College of Communications from 2008 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies in 2010.

Agyepong was a prolific writer for the Graphic Sports newspaper in Ghana and the Guardian in the United Kingdom as a qualified, university-trained journalist. He is a member of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), the world’s largest professional public relations .
