On August 8, 2022, the Recording Industry Association of America gold-certified Beyonce, Shatta Wale, and Major Lazer’s song “Already.” This award will go down in history as Shatta Wale becomes the first Ghanaian to be recognized and honored by the RIAA.

The RIAA’s Gold and Platinum Awards Program was established to recognize artists and track sales of sound recordings. It has also become the industry standard for defining success in the recorded music industry.

The Lion King Album’s ‘Already’ is classified as Afrobeat. The song, performed by American singer Beyoncé, Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale, and American trio Major Lazer, will also appear in the 2020 film Black is King.

According to sources, parts of the video were shot in Ghana under the direction of director Joshua Kissi. The music video was shot in the Eastern Region and Greater Accra Region.

The 2022 Best Collaboration of the Year award went to ‘Already’ at the 18th Urban Music Awards and the 6th annual AEAUSA. The song won Best Collaboration at the 2020 BreakTudo Awards in 2020.
