Accra Hearts Of Oak, Asante Kotoko And Other Premier League Clubs To Visit Tamale Twice Next Season

Accra Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko and the remaining clubs in the Ghana Premier League will visit Tamale on two occasions following the qualification of Tamale City today. Tamale City emerged the leaders of the mini tournament put in place by the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association to find a replacement for demoted AshantiGold.

Tamale City ended the mini tournament as table toppers with 4 points, followed by Liberty Professional with 2 points with Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs languishing at the bottom with a point.

Liberty Professionals and Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs opened the mini tournament and Liberty Professionals had their way with all points. The scientific soccer lads were expected to beat Tamale City and qualify but turned out differently as they lost by a lone goal.

That positioned Tamale City as favorites and they earned their qualification after a draw with Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs.

Having qualified, Tamale City and Real Tamale United will be the two clubs that will be playing in the elite league from the Northern capital of Tamale. Clubs will be visiting Tamale on two separate occasions to try if they could cause havoc.

The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to commence in September.
