Former Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku joins Saudi Arabia side Najran SC on loan from USM Alger

Former Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku has been loaned to Saudi Arabia side Najran SC by Algerian side USM Alger.

The player, joins the Saudi First Division side on a season long loan with an option to buy at the end of the period.

Opoku, has been hampered by injuries since he joined USM Alger from Asante Kotoko a year and a half ago.

He has struggled for playing time in recent weeks, and, this loan move to Saudi Arabia will be seen by the striker as an opportunity to revive his career.

The player was a constant hit with Asante Kotoko despite the short time he spent at the Garden City club and earning a national team call-up.

He will look to relaunch his once blistering career with age on his side.

The Arabians have an option to buy the player if he impresses for them and, this is what Opoku will be playing for at his new club.
