“The Locker room bonus”, a good news for Ghana premier league clubs

The Ghana premier league is scheduled to kick start on 9th September 2022. As part of the preparations towards a successful 2022/23 season,the Ghana Football Association has succeeded in closing a headline sponsorship deal for the league with betPawa. The partnership between betPawa and the Ghana Football Association is to properly market and position the league to become one of the most successful and attractive leagues on the continent. In a signing ceremony, 

The GFA President Mr. Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku commended BetPawa for the partnership.  

After outlining the various components of the deal which includes the construction of an Astroturf pitch at Prampram, Mr Okraku made some interesting revelation. According to the Chairman of the GFA, 

In addition to the 6 million dollars sponsorship deal, there shall be a special package called the locker room bonus. With this package, any club that wins a match on any match day is entitled to a winning bonus, which shall be paid to the players, coaches and club owners, and it will be paid immediately after the match, right on the pitch.

I am sure the various clubs would be yearning for the resumption of the 2022/23 league season upon hearing this news.
