Massive Reactions After Ursula Owusu Stormed Central Region To Commission This Facility

The member of parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency, Honorable Ursula Owusu, who doubles as the Minister for Communication has dropped some pictures on her social media page to show her recent activity.

Ursula Owusu was in Agona Abodom, a town in the Agona West constituency in the Central region to commission an ICT center for the community.

The ICT Lab forms part of the projects under the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications, (GIFEC), which help provide opportunities and facilities to bridge the digital gap in the country. It is therefore the responsibility of her ministry to make sure that the country is digitized in all sectors and in all parts of the country.

The ICT lab is equipped with internet services, photo studio services, hardware repair services and many more.

“Capacity building was the most important component of digitization and there is the need to equip institutions with the requisite tools to train people to gain the required knowledge relevant to technology in the society” she said while commissioning this project.

She later called on the community members, especially the students to make good use of this facility.

Some Ghanaians have reacted to this and below are some reactions.

From the reactions above, some Ghanaians seem happy with this new project which has been commissioned by the Minister. However, one person in the comments above seems worried about the kind of cost the minister incurred to commission such building. The building seems to small for a minister to travel in her vehicle to commission.
