“Ghanaians Should Not Underestimate The Work Rate of Jordan Ayew” – UK Journalist

Renowned BBC sports journalist, John Bennett has said that, Ghanaians should not underestimate the work rate of Crystal Palace striker, Jordan Ayew.

Jordan has not been in the good books of some Ghanaian football fans due to his lack of scoring for club and country.

The 30-year-old played 31 times last season, scoring three goals and providing three assists for Crystal Palace.

He has managed just 14 goals in four seasons since joining Palace and many have questioned his scoring ability.

“Sometimes we judge Jordan Ayew on goals alone.

“If you talk to Patrick Vieira, they really love his work rate and the fact that he is unselfish as well.

“I think we shouldn’t underestimate his work rate and what he gives to that team, it’s not just about the goals for Jordan.” John Bennett told Radio Gold TalkSport.

Jordan, who has had spells at Swansea City, Aston Villa and previously Lorient in France, played full time in Palace 2-0 opening home loss of the 2022/23 season to Arsenal on Saturday.
