After his contract with Real Madrid expired this summer, the Spanish midfielder has been without a team. Sevilla are the favorites to sign him, but he is currently looking for a new team.

2 Juan Mata

Manchester United dismissed the World Cup winner this summer, and he has yet to find a new team to play for. At least three English clubs are interested in recruiting the ex-Chelsea midfielder: Leeds United, AS Roma, and a few Spanish clubs.

3 Dries Mertens

Once released by Napoli, the forward is yet to sign with another club. The striker is on the lookout for a new team to join the Belgium World Cup squad later this year.

4 Edinson Cavani

Free transfers for the Uruguayan striker are also possible after his contract with Manchester United expires this year. Villarreal has been linked with a bid for the former Paris Saint-Germain striker.

5 Marcelo

After being released by Real Madrid this summer, the Brazilian defender is still looking for a new home. After more than a decade at the Santiago Bernabeu, the left-back decided to move on from Spain’s capital and join Barcelona.

Olympique Marseille and a few Italian clubs have been said to be interested in signing him.
