UE/R: I’m The Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste In The Region – Jah Bone MP

Versatile dancehall act, Jah Bone was the last to grace the “Talk Show” on Sammy Flex TV before the break. Jah Bone without any doubt introduced himself as a talent overload with a mind-blowing freestyle which got the host Sammy Flex himself involved as he flows freely.

After his introductory freestyle, Jah Bone made it clear to Sammy Flex that he isn’t in a hurry for nationwide recognition since he believes in God’s timing and that at the right time, everything will move accordingly. “I believe in God’s timing. I am not in a rush, I am still learning and have a lot to learn but should In case it happens today, I’m sure that’s the right time,” Jah Bone affirmed.

The young champ who blends English and his native language with the Jamaican Patois revealed that he finds it easier to write in Patois than in his local language but versatility will also permit him to write some raps in the local dialect which he blends with the dancehall to give his music a different flavor.

Recounting the usefulness of the HMB-UEMA scheme, Jah Bone admits that having Sammy Flex himself in the region is a plus for them and that’s as a result of the scheme. He acknowledged Sammy Flex for all the tips and the hacks he gave them as regards the connection between them and their fans which he tried and it turned out positively for him.

Jah Bone who recently organized an album launch for his “On God” album received a massive turnout which to him speaks volumes of the love the masses got for him.

He has however wished that the voting criteria of the HMB-UEMA scheme be changed such that artists don’t get to see the results and end up pumping in money to the detriment of those who don’t have much to always beat them to winning awards in the region’s much-revered awards scheme.

Touching on who the biggest reggae/dancehall artist in the Upper East is, Jah Bone touted himself as the best in the whole of Upper East and that no one comes near him in the reggae/dancehall fraternity though there are many out there doing it. This was just the smartest response since mentioning anyone’s name could have resulted in brouhaha.

Upper East is a talent powerhouse and with the support of many hands and inclusive agenda, the whole world will get to feel the vibe from that side of Ghana aside from what the kologo has done already.
