Why the NPP Must Be Given Another Chance

The New Patriotic Party should be given another chance in the 2024 elections and the reasons are clear.

The Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo government has shown that it has done well to hand over the baton to the next crop of NPP leadership.

Readers can recall how it took long hours to travel from Kasoa to Accra and vise versa due to the presence of toll booth workings. The NPP government paid attention to the complaints of the road users and compared the cost and benefits of using the toll booths as a revenue stream.

The NPP government acted as a mother ready to solve the problems of her daughter and eventually cancelled the toll booths.

It is an undeniable fact that the NPP government saw the need to educate every Ghanaian and so introduced the Free SHS policy despite the economic situation bedevilling the great nation. Is this not applaudable that despite the incessant opposition, the government understood the need to ensure that all Ghanaians benefited from the National cake hence brushing off requests to be bias with the provision of SHS scholarship. The Free SHS programme is just like the government providing families with an annual allowance and this should be emulated by future governments.

On the issue of providing jobs, the government has proven that it listens to the people of Ghana. How did the government do this? The Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo did so well to introduce the NABCO programme even though it was saddled with various challenges. The truth is that the government has shown that it cared for the youth.

The NPP government was quick to have introduced the One District One Factory and all Ghanaians can attest to the fact that the programme was to empower families and private businesses to support the economy.

Even though the NPP has had challenges with managing the economy and reporting on the covid funds, do Ghanaians see any need to give them another chance? Would the breaking the eight become a reality?
